Nothing says summer in Peterborough like attending a show at Canada’s longest running free admission concert series, featuring a new lineup of artists every summer. Peterborough Musicfest offers up this incredible experience lakeside at Del Crary Park. Every August you can also stop into the heart of downtown Peterborough to enjoy a great lineup of artists and enjoy the local scene at the Hootenanny on Hunter Street! Or if you want to get your country on, hit up the Havelock Country Jamboree, Canada’s largest live country music and camping festival. This twin-stage experience features over 25 artists over the course of four days.
Eleven festivals and events across the greater Kawarthas region are collectively receiving more than $900,000 in one-time funding from the Ontario government — including the Lindsay Exhibition, Globus Theatre, 4th Line Theatre, Peterborough Musicfest, and ReFrame Film Festival.
